              The Directorate of Transport is a department under A & N Administration which manages the islands entire surface transport activities & services in A & N Islands including Bus Services, Issue of Driving Licence, Vehicle Registration, Issue of different types of Permits like Stage Carriage, Contract Carriage etc. The Department has the following major Organizational Units in its Umbrella providing several Citizen related services which areas below:

  • State Transport Service: For Bus Services.
  • Motor Vehicle Department(MVD):For licence, Vehicle Registration, and Revenue collection related to that services.
  • State Transport Authority: For issue of various types of Permits for plying vehicles transporting goods and passengers.
