FIRE BRIGRADE is maintained for the purpose of extinguishing fire and protecting lives and property in case of fire and for rescue purposes in connection with any emergency like building collapse, road traffic accidents, human and animal rescue from a well etc. It is also an emergency support function during any disaster. The role of fire services also includes effective fire prevention, creating awareness on fire safety, and enforcing the inbuilt fire protection arrangement for various types of occupancies in line with National Building Code Part IV.
