Ground water is a valuable resource for the state of Kerala as majority of the population depends on Ground water for their drinking water.Hence it is necssary to regulate the commercial exploitation of this resource by various industries The NOC from the Ground water Department can be issued only after doing the pumping test study analysis were the safe yield from a well is to assessed. The pumping test studies can be done only in the summer months from December to May. Then the proposal has to pass through District level Evaluation Committee and State Ground Water Authority.
