Information service portal for RTI

The Right to Information Act, 2005 mandates timely response to citizen requests for government information. It is an initiative taken by the Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions to provide a– RTI Portal Gateway to the citizens for quick search of information. Users can get information about the Public Information Officers, Information commissioner, information officers in ministries, govt departments etc. One can also file online RTI complaints, track RTI applications, check the status and access the RTI Act. An interactive map is also provided with the help of which users can get access to the RTI portals of states and union territories.
