Back ended subsidy for Sugarcane Nursery, Puducherry
The Department of Agriculture, Puducherry with an intention of tiding over the scarcity of Sugarcane setts for the sugarcane growers at the time of planting and to promote sugarcane cultivation extends back ended subsidy to farmers who raise sugarcane nurseries and distribute the setts to the registered cane growers of the command area. The beneficiary has to submit the application at the Farm Help Centres or the headquarters of the extension wing; online submission would be facilitated and subsidy is extended subject to the satisfaction of the guidelines in force.
